ITS'S 20 MILLION SHILLINGS AT 40 YEARS.

As the club embarks on a 40years celbration of community sport, the organisation of the 14th Edition of KAVC Founders Memorial tournament got yet another booste of Shs 20 Million from tittle sponsor National Social Security Fund. This is the 3rd year in a row that the fund body is supporting the event.
The 14th edition of the annual event, also expected to feature 15 foreign entries, is slated for August 14-15 at Mandela Stadium, Namboole.Hosts KAVC Volleyball Club received the package at a brief ceremony at the Workers House today.
Speaking at the handover, the fund’s’ deputy chief marketing and communications officer Olive Lumonya said the support was in the fulfilment of her company’s social responsibility to support the development of sports in the country. “KAVC has been instrumental in raising the standard of the game in Uganda. The founders’ tournament gives NSSF an opportunity to support the talent,” she said.
According to the organisers teams from Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and Ethiopia have been invited for the event. Bob Ewange, the club’s president pledged to hold a much better event.
Vice President Florence Nanyondo, Director PR , Lillian Mpabulingi Ssengoba, Maggie, Recho Mugabi,Sammy Laloyo and Shopia Masagazi led the KAVC battalion to the NSSF tower.
