Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club makes 40 years this year and shall consider this achievement worthy specially celebrating as it edges closer to the Golden Jubilee. The President, Bob Ewange, disclosed at the club’s Annual General Meeting held last month that, each day will be a moment to celebrate and to renew the club's zeal to continue growing stronger, eversince 1970. However the 14th edition of the KAVC founders’ Memorial International Tournament slated for the August will witness the peak of the festivities. The other activities where the 40 year notion will feature include the President's Cup slated for the Easter weekend, the club quarterly team building get togethers, the launch of the National League on the 20th March, the Commemoration cup at the end of the year, the Burundi trip for senior men on 6/7 March, the women's team participation in the Africa Club Championship in Mauritius, the Genocide Memorial tournament in Kigali and several community based programmes through out the year. The office of the Public Relations Director is also planning a series of talk shows to reflect on where the club has come from and where it is headed.
